My name is Karen and among the many things I love and do often, is write. If I’m not writing, you’ll most likely find me doing one of the many other things I love.

For a long while in my life, I tried to define myself as this or that, doctor or writer, excellent cook or gifted hair stylist, idea brewer/ idea factory or poet… And the list goes on. The harder I tried, the more I struggled because I found that non of these adequately described me.

The truth is, I am a bit of all these things and I love doing them. I have come to accept that it is alright to not have any one of them in particular define me and that as I grow into the masterpiece God intended, I will discover more and more of the customized pieces He made for me and how all these eventually fit together.

I find that I am still growing, that each day presents an opportunity to grow and I am each day, on the journey to becoming that masterpiece. Each story, each step, misstep, heartache, success, etc, are all blocks and chips to making and refining the piece.

I, through this blog, want to bring you along on this journey.

On this NEW blog, I will share stories from the past and the present, stories I encounter and lessons I learn as I go about life, school, work, relationship, etc, as well as revelations about life issues that will inspire and encourage you to live fuller, bolder and fearlessly, the beautiful life you have been given.

ON BEING… is about me and everything I have learned and am learning as I grow into that bold woman, useful not only to myself but to the environment I’m in and the world I find myself a part of, the very woman after God’s heart.
